I think this is a scam they have been running for years. Here's the thing, I don't believe that this is just me. So they had taken my money, and sent me a shipped email and a delivery email and the items had never been shipped or delivered. I went through old PayPal records and found that the money had in fact been taken out of my account. I looked at my account and was able to find the receipt for the wedding purchase. I was using the credit to get toys for my cousin's now 1 year old son. No explanation for the two emails - "shipped" and "delivered." They offered me a $65 credit which I thought was weird, but I said sure. This time they got back to me after doing "research" and said that they couldn't get authorization from my credit card so it was never charged. I still felt there was something else they should or could be doing, and reached out through Facebook messenger. Just: "Sorry for the inconvenience." The second chat I was again told my "credit card" wasn't charged. I was also requesting that they reach out to my cousin because I felt awful and I wanted her to know that there really was a present, but they wouldn't do that. I could've picked up the items before May 8th had we known the rewards were not being accepted after that! How is it legal to take someone's money but then never allow the order to be fulfilled?īBB Business Profiles may not be reproduced for sales or promotional purposes.īBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. The family member's order says "Processing" on their end so we assume it was supposed to say that until I picked up the items in store, which they will no longer allow. Now a family member has spent $60 on a gift that we will never receive because of arbitrary rules. We never got an email from BB&B warning ** that the funds would expire. The associate told me as of May 8, the day before, they cannot accept any rewards funds, giftcards or coupons. I went up to an associate to ask them to scan the barcode to allow me to get the gift items. I had about $60 in my rewards balance that is to be used towards 3 items purchased off the registry. Of course we had no idea the stores would close so Tuesday May 9 I was checking the registry because I knew my ***** ** store would be closing down before our July wedding. When creating the registry there was a feature for the couple to pick up any gifted item in store that was purchased for them instead of it being sent from the website through the mail. I created a wedding registry months ago before knowing this business would go under. My order number in case you need it is: MPL6677741870 This is unacceptable even for a business that is closing. I called 2 different stores in my area and both told me the same thing, which was the money in that account can't be used.sorry. I called the customer service number several times but was disconnected each time without getting to talk to a person. They should not be allowed to cancel my order then keep my money. If I had even a thought that this would happen I would've just bought something in the store. So I just gave them money and got nothing for it. So I followed the rules and used my gift card before the expiration date but I won't get the item I bought and they refunded my money in a way that I can't use it. Unfortunately, after May 8th money in the "My Rewards" account were no longer available for use. On May 9th at 5:05pm I received an email saying my order had been cancelled and they would be refunding my money back to the "My Rewards" account. On May 6th I made a purchase on for the amount of $52.92. I had a gift card that needed to be used before May 8th because the company is going out of business and would no longer accept gift cards after that date.
